Review rules differ between stores and change over time, but the reasons apps get rejected are remarkably consistent.
1. Privacy mismatches
Your privacy policy, Apple privacy labels and Google Data safety form must match what the app actually does. Audit every SDK: analytics, ads and crash reporting all collect data.
2. Reviewers cannot get in
If your app needs login, provide a working demo account and clear notes. Broken or missing access is a frequent rejection.
3. Payments
Digital goods and subscriptions generally must use the store’s billing system. Check the current policies before designing your monetisation.
4. Incomplete or misleading listings
Screenshots should show real app functionality. Placeholder text, broken links and unreleased features cause delays.
5. Account deletion
If users can create accounts, they generally need a way to delete them from within the app.
